Dear Friend of the Butler Freeport Community Trail,
The Butler Freeport Community Trail (BFCT) wants to thank you for your past support. In an effort to improve and streamline our membership renewal process, we are sending you this email to request your membership renewal.
Membership renewal has always been set as May 1st of each year. Last year we experienced problems with our database and renewal cards went out very late, or not at all. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. We have updated our database and are on course to try to reach out via email to all of our current and former members asking them to renew their membership. This will eliminate the cost of printing and postage for renewal notices.
You will still be mailed a membership card, and we’re happy to announce that we now have 2 new sponsors, for a total of 12, who will offer discounts at their establishments to members who show their cards!
Just a reminder that all the funds we raise through membership fees, advertising at the Sarver Trailhead, Memorials and Honorariums, Geocaching, our annual fundraising dinner (this year – May 18th at Tanglewood in Lyndora) and the ½ Marathon (October 20th, 2012) go 100% to maintenance of the trail, costs of port-a-johns in the summer, advertising (check out our new brochure at the trailheads) and insurance.
We continue to work toward completion of the bridge into Butler and hope to see it come to fruition this year.
