Hi All,
Hope you all have been out enjoying the trail this summer. Cabot to Sarver has been resurfaced and a .25 mile north of Cabot needs resurfaced but is passable, be cautious it is a little bumpy.
Trail meeting is Sept. 12th, this month due to the holiday, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood Rd., Entrance #4 at 7 pm. As always you are welcome to join us at the Fieldhouse for dinner at 5:30 before the meeting if you wish.
Buffalo Creek Half Marathon Update-Oct 15th is quickly approaching, we have about 480 registered as of this morning. Volunteers are needed and if you wish to help, please send me an e-mail. If you or anyone you know has bag swag (pens, coupons, brochures etc.) that you would like to be included in the race bags let me know. All volunteers received a shirt for helping.
Next group ride is September 17th starting in Freeport and riding into Butler. It is also Butler’s Fall Festival so you will be able to bike into town and join the festivities, lots of vendors and food. I will be manning the table at the festival so I will not be on the ride but one of our regulars will lead the way. Meeting in Laneville at 9 am. This is a leisurely ride.
Membership renewal cards have gone out, if you did not receive one or would like to become a member visit our brand new website www.butlerfreeporttrail.org, there is a Pay Pal option or you can send via snail mail to BFCTC, P.O. Box 533, Saxonburg, PA 16056. Again check out the new website, you can now get detailed directions to each trailhead.
A big thank you to Michael Zidek from Troop 19, he installed benches, a picnic table and road name signs for his Eagle Project. Great Job Michael…
Happy Trails,
Chris
