There has been a lot of progress north and work continues just about every day. Though, I personally, do not care for the snow, we have been fortunate to have it. The big trucks can run on the trail and not damage it. Only a couple short sections need rock lining and straw matting, the ditching is nearly complete. Three inlets need installed and a few more culverts replaced but that is quick work. The biggest challenge at this time is digging the underdrain.
They, on a good day can only dig about 300′. And there is about 14 days worth of digging. I was going to schedule a workday to put in the fabric, rock and pipe in the underdrain ditches, but that will have to wait, forecast is calling for 17 degrees next Saturday. I’ll keep an eye on the forecast for the following Saturday, keep you all posted. If you have time, take a walk (or ride if you can take the cold) north of Bonniebrook, you will be amazed at the changes. As we get closer to spring, there will be lots to do, bollards, gates and finishing touches.
We are ALMOST there. If you are on Facebook, I add pictures of construction all the time, check them out. Happy “almost finished” Trail, Chris
